Climbing to new heights at EHC
With the summer holidays well underway members, and young people in the local community, have got involved in a new exciting activity.
From 6 to 19 August, we have a mobile climbing wall in Wyck Gardens for young people to try something a little bit different.
The wall will be in action from 10am to 2.30pm every day for individuals and groups from in and around Brixton.*
Aimed at 14 to 25 year olds, our aim is for young people to be inspired by something new and for us to hear their ideas about what kind of activities they would like to get involved in for the future.
As Ebony Horse Club has established a niche for offering a non-traditional sport, we would like to continue this theme. So, who knows, bike polo, archery or orienteering could be activities appearing next summer!
As with horse riding, there are so many benefits to taking part in a sport like climbing.
In addition to the physical benefits such as increasing strength, stamina and co-ordination, climbing can also help develop concentration, determination and problem-solving skills.
Individuals can book in advance and we welcome local community organisations with group bookings.
All equipment is provided with highly qualified instructors on hand to instruct aspiring climbers.
